    I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2004 at a busy 1st opinion clinic. After 4 years in this clinic I moved to an emergency hospital, mainly being involved with intensive care nursing. I have also run nursing clinics and puppy parties since 2000.

    I then moved to ER Vets and was employed as a night nurse dealing with numerous emergencies on a daily basis, from pregnancy advice to road traffic accidents. Now employed at an orthopaedic referral centre as a surgical nurse.

    I worked for a short while after qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College in London (2002) at a small animal and exotic practice in Dudley, UK. After this I crossed the pond to America and have since worked at Terry Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian working mostly with dogs and cats. I have a special interest in dermatology.

    I have been qualified as a vet since 2001. I worked in Banbury for 1 year and then moved to Chipping Norton in 2002 where I have been based for the last 5 years. This is a RCVS accredited small animal practice. I have a keen interest in Surgery and Behaviour. I am passionate about what I do and am especially keen to educate people in the proper way to train dogs but welcome any questions about dog and cat behaviour. I am currently studying to become a dog psychologist. I am qualified in veterinary acupuncture which is a very effective treatment for managing chronic pain and welcome questions about this too. I have a great deal of experience in general cat and dog practice but also am very knowledgable about rabbits, rats and guinea-pigs. I pride myself in keeping up to date and have attended many courses relevant to every day small animal practice.

    I have been a qualified companion animal behavioural counsellor for 7 years. I am a full member of The Association for Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) and a fully accredited certificated clinical behaviourist (CCAB). I run my own consultancy in Jersey (Channel Islands) dealing mainly with dogs and cats via veterinary referral. I hold a BSC (Hons) in Zoology and an MPhil in animal behaviour and welfare from Nottingham University UK. I was regularly featured on Channel Fours "Pet Rescue" as a behavioural expert and a contributing author in "The APBC Book of Companion Animal Behaviour!. I have also recently published my own book "Good Dog? Bad dog" which concentrates on changing the traditional views of how we perceive and treat our dogs.

    In 2007 I achieved an HE Certificate in Applied Animal Behaviour and have been doing pet behaviour consults for 1 year.

    I also teach part time at an agricultural college in subjects such as veterinary nursing and animal behaviour.
